Vietnam! Motorbikes! Adventure?

Well the time has come to see Vietnam! An idea starts with a spark, the spark grows to a fire.  Travelling is the same way, it starts with an idea and things happen from there!  Being that this trip was unplanned for the most part and a random adventure, why not make it more random by buying a motorbike and travelling a country on that bike!  My great idea led me to some amazing experiences and some dangerous situations at the same time! Ho Chi Minh/Saigon.  Vietnam.  Motor bikes. Smiles. Cant say much more about Ho Chi Minh City besides this.  Welcome to Vietnam!  This is a wonderful country! People are so nice, smiles everywhere, always a helping hand!  A truly vibrant, growing and fun city. Ho Chi Minh – Landing The first thing you notice are all the motorbikes.  There are thousands of them – they are everywhere – this is truly the land of motorbikes.  Zip down the road, go between cars and trucks, weave around pedestrians, its organized madness!  You have to be an extremely defensive driver here, always have your “A-game”!  Seeing all this excitement, I wanted to be

Dragons rising from the sea

Halong Bay is located on the north east area of Vietnam.  It is near China (170kms from the border crossing).  It is an extremely popular travel destination for tourists and locals alike.  With over 1900 islands and over 1500 square kilometers of space it is not hard to get lost in this bay of dragons!  Historians have traced culture back to as far as 18,000 BC to the Halong region, and much more recent history involving China and wars between big clans during the 13th century.  As recent as the Vietnam War, there were mines placed in spots in the harbor by the American Military and some maritime personnel still fear
