Dragons to Dungeons

With as nice as Halong Bay is, it is time to say goodbye and be onwards to Vietnam’s capitol of Hanoi.  Located on the Northern side of the country it used to be separate from the south before the end of the Vietnam war.  Once the American troops pulled out and the north descended upon Saigon (Ho Chi Minh), the separation was cut and the two were merged and reunited to be one country. The road from Halong to Hanoi is pretty boring…not much to see besides other vehicles and small towns.  I saw a few more dog/cat meat restaurants but did not feel the urge to stop and investigate

Ho Chi Minh/Saigon.  Vietnam.  Motor bikes. Smiles. Cant say much more about Ho Chi Minh City besides this.  Welcome to Vietnam!  This is a wonderful country! People are so nice, smiles everywhere, always a helping hand!  A truly vibrant, growing and fun city. Ho Chi Minh – Landing The first thing you notice are all the motorbikes.  There are thousands of them – they are everywhere – this is truly the land of motorbikes.  Zip down the road, go between cars and trucks, weave around pedestrians, its organized madness!  You have to be an extremely defensive driver here, always have your “A-game”!  Seeing all this excitement, I wanted to be

Vietnam! Motorbikes! Adventure?

Well the time has come to see Vietnam! An idea starts with a spark, the spark grows to a fire.  Travelling is the same way, it starts with an idea and things happen from there!  Being that this trip was unplanned for the most part and a random adventure, why not make it more random by buying a motorbike and travelling a country on that bike!  My great idea led me to some amazing experiences and some dangerous situations at the same time! Upon arriving in Vietnam, I set out to buy a motorbike, my 3rd day in the country I ran across a bike and bought it!  I then
